01Indiana POS Systems

The POS team that knows Indiana restaurants

A food and beverage tax that changes by county and city, stacks on top of sales tax, and keeps adding new jurisdictions. A liquor permit that depends on reports your POS has to produce. We install the systems that get Indiana right, and we put the costs in writing first.

Talk to the Indiana team

About a minute. A person calls you back. No pitch on the first call, and if what you have is already fair, you will hear that.

It reaches Clay Orander and the Equip team. Indiana is a local service state for Equip, and a person calls you back. We never ask for card or bank details on this site.

02Why Indiana is different

Three rules your POS has to carry, from day one

Indiana looks simple from a distance: 7% sales tax, done. Up close it is a moving map of local food and beverage taxes and a permit regime that reads your revenue mix. These are the three that bite.

01

The food and beverage tax is a moving map

Counties and municipalities adopt their own F&B taxes that stack with the state's 7% sales tax, per the DOR's rate table. Marion County runs 2%; Hamilton County and its dining cities stack county and city to 2%; and new jurisdictions keep adopting, with Madison new for 2026 and Lagro arriving September 2026. Your POS needs the right lines for your exact address, and it needs a new one the month your town adopts. The current map lives on our F&B page.

02

F&B files separately from sales tax

The food and beverage tax is its own return, filed per jurisdiction, not a bigger number on your sales tax form. Clean per class totals from the POS are the difference between a five minute filing and a monthly spreadsheet project. Johnson County even changed how its tax is collected as of July 2026, which is exactly the kind of shift a supported install absorbs for you.

03

Your liquor permit reads your revenue split

Indiana's Alcohol and Tobacco Commission ties restaurant liquor permits to the relationship between food and alcohol revenue. Whatever the current thresholds, and you should confirm them with the ATC, the practical requirement lands on your POS: it must produce a clean food versus alcohol split, per period, on demand. Details on the permit page.

04What we install

Systems we stand behind, with the costs stated

01

Shift4 Dine, our lead system

$29.99 a month per terminal published, hardware included with a lifetime replacement warranty, interchange plus processing with the markup stated in your quote, and the annual fees itemized in writing before you sign. See what we install.

02

Clover, quoted the honest way

Indiana restaurants get quoted Clover through their banks constantly, and the quote is whatever the reseller wrote. Ours is interchange plus with the markup visible and hardware ownership stated. Bring the bank's paper and we will read both side by side.

03

And when neither fits, we say so

Our team maintains the national research at restaurantpointofsale.com, pricing every major system from published and sourced figures, including against ourselves. If Square or Toast is the honest answer for your room, that is what you will hear.

Tell us what is actually going wrong

Bring last month's processing statement. Clay Orander and the Indiana team read it with you line by line, free, and tell you straight whether we are the ones to fix it.
